Appalachian String Band Music Festival

Starting the last weekend in July and spanning for an entire five days, music lovers and musicians gather to celebrate the stringed instruments that create the music of Appalachia. Attend live concerts, workshops and contests along with dances and sing-a-longs. The listed activities include everything from getting the chance to weave baskets or make stools to attending a Yoga class or playing bingo. Locals also present live predatory bird demonstrations.
