Experience the Spectacular Mountain Wilderness of Jackson, WY

The town of Jackson or Jackson Hole was established on either side of the Snake River surrounded by the Gros Ventre and the Teton Mountain Ranges close to the northwestern border of Wyoming. The small community grew into a popular year-round outdoor recreation location. Today, Jackson has the Snow King Resort.

The Grand Targhee Ski and Summer Resort along with the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are close to the community. Jackson also offers dining, shopping and entertainment options along with health spas. Popular destinations include Grand Teton National Park, the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum and the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

Things To Do

For four days in March, all are invited to hear great music during the annual Jackson Hole Rendevous. The concerts are presented at the Jackson Town Square and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. A long line-up of local, national and well-known performers entertain audiences during the event.

On a designated weekend in July and again in August, art lovers have the chance to attend the annual Art Fair Jackson Hole in Miller Park. The event features the works of local and national artists created using any number of mediums. The event also offers live artist demonstrations along with concerts and food concessions.

For 11 days each September, the community hosts the annual Jackson Hole Fine Arts Festival. Various venues throughout the town offer art workshops, miniature displays, a western fashion show and an art walk. There are also cowboy poetry readings, quick draw competitions and a historic ranch tour.

For six days toward the end of September, Jackson presents the annual Festival & Summit. The festivities include a wildlife film competition, hands-on workshops, outdoor excursions and panel discussions geared toward wildlife conservation.

For seven weeks beginning each fall, Jackson hosts the annual Grand Teton Music Festival. In order to promote the fine arts within the community, residents have the chance to attend live concerts provided by various musicians and symphony orchestras hailing from across the country."
