  • The Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for Leadership Danbury 2020. For 30 years this elite program has educated 750+ businesspeople providing in-depth knowledge about issues of community significance. The 9-month program includes a 1-day intensive session each month from Jan. 23- Sept. 9 focused on Education, Healthcare, the Economy, Transportation, Natural Environment, Culture & The Arts, and the Justice System and are held at businesses & institutions including WCSU, Danbury Hospital, and City Hall. Tours include FCI, Danbury Police & Fire Departments, Danbury Museum & Historical Society, Candlewood Lake, Henry Abbott Technical High School, etc.
    Graduates become part of a new community resource capable of directing and participating in important community works, have new insights into specific areas of interest, and have a better understanding of our community and its future challenges and opportunities. Participants also gain professional development to develop the leadership skills necessary to ensure their effectiveness for current and future roles.
    Leadership Danbury participants are expected to have the full support of their employer.
