Superman Celebration

Though established well before the creation of the "Man of Steel, the community happily commemorates the super hero the first weekend in June with a variety of fun-filled events. Metropolis hosts a Superman museum, a comic book art gallery along with a carnival, fun runs, auto exhibits and races along with live entertainment.
