Beginning as a small celebration with a group of friends, Southern Decadence has now become the largest assembly of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals in New Orleans. Open to all, the event's main attraction is the parade through the French Quarter.

Over 20 blocks of the city of Gretna are filled with stages, arts, crafts, and amusement rides during this two day event. An enormous food tent is filled with bustling vendors hoping to have the crowd's favorite offerings while two separate areas housing a Beer Garden and an Italian Village also compete with their ethnic foods.
