#Desc1: The largest rowing race on the planet takes place in Massachusetts, and is a spectacle
well worth a trip to Boston in October. An international regatta, the team with
the best time wins the title "Head of the Charles River", which is a big accolade.
With so many teams competing in waves of three mile races, it is really something
to see.
#Desc2: The world's largest two-day rowing event, Head Of The Charles Regatta was first held
in 1965. "Head" races, a class of regattas, are generally three-miles-long boat
races the winners of which are awarded the honorary title of "Head Of The Charles."
Today, more than 7,500 athletes from around the world compete in 55 different race
events. The Regatta now attracts up to 300,000 spectators during the October weekend.
