Welcome To Osseo, MN

See What the Small Community of Osseo, MN has to Offer

The charming little town lies in the southeastern region of Minnesota. Pierre Bottineau and his companions were exploring the area and were struck by the beauty of the lush forests and open meadows. The group determined to establish a settlement here in 1852. Visitors might enjoy taking in a concert or watching an outdoor movie in the Henry J. Boerboom Veterans Memorial Park. Sipe Park offers the chance to play a game of baseball or tennis.

Things To Do

Each May, automotive fans are treated to the annual Vintage Car Show & Craft Sale. The event features a lineup of 1994 or older domestic or foreign automobiles, motorcycles, race cars and scooters. Dozens of crafters are also on hand to display their unique items.

From June through August, all have the chance to enjoy a variety of tunes during the annual Music in the Park concert series. Entertainment might include anything from Bluegrass or Golden Oldies to a selection of Broadway classics.

On Tuesday evenings, from June through August, the memorial park also hosts nighttime Movies in the Park. The films are a blend of family favorites from current box office hits to yesteryear classics.

On the weekend after Labor Day, each September the local Lion's Club hosts Osseo Lion Roar Days. Activities include a parade, an arts and crafts street fair along with a carnival.

During the weekend before Halloween, the community hosts the yearly Osseo Halloween Event. Little ones in their holiday costumes have the chance to trick-or-treat along Central Avenue. Festivities include a variety of activities and games.

The first weekend of December brings the Osseo Minidazzle Celebration to the community. The event features an illuminated parade, visits with Santa, goodie bags for the youngsters and warm, sweet refreshments.
