The five-day event begins at the end of August and commemorates the pioneer days of the historic community. The California Trail, the Oregon Trail and the Santa Fe Trail all began here before venturing out west. Visit hundreds of vendors, enjoy dancing and music, and a carnival along with traditional contests that include root beer chugging and watermelon seed spitting.
