  • In commemoration of local resident J. Sterling Morton who established the holiday, the city offers free trees, a garden show and various demonstrations along with a parade, chili cooking competition, craft shows and numerous educational activities during the last weekend in April. The family fun event also offers a number of games and activities. Musical guests provide live entertainment and carriage rides give spectators the chance to tour the community.
