Welcome To Chagrin Falls, OH

Craftsmen from Massachusetts arrived in the early 1800s and established a settlement along the Chagrin River and the Chagrin Falls close to the northern border of Ohio.

By 1844, the new community was a village. Today, Chagrin Falls retains its small town charm and friendly atmosphere. Popular locations found in and around the community include the Ladybug Ranch, the Golf Dome and Beartown Lakes Reservation.

Things To Do

At the end of May, Chagrin Falls Jaycees host the annual Blossom Time Festival. The four-day spring celebration includes a carnival and amusement rides, crowning the Blossom Time Queen, eating contests and evening hot air balloon launches. The festivities conclude with a parade on the final afternoon. Food and merchandise vendors also attend.

On Thursday nights throughout the summer, the Chagrin Falls Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Simple Summer Nights Concert Series. The concerts take place in Triangle Park. Performers offer musical renditions of everything from classical to classic rock.

Chagrin Falls goes all out for the 4th of July during the Independence Day Celebration Events. The flag is presented followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. A vocalist sings the National Anthem and the blast of a cannon fills the air. Following the ceremony, residents enjoy a car show in the park, a concert on the Triangle, a bike parade, a pet parade and various additional fun-filled activities.

For four days during the first week of October, the community hosts the annual Chagrin Documentary Film Fest. The event attracts viewers from around the world to see the documentaries. The films are also made by worldwide filmmakers and have a variety of topics.

During the first weekend in October, the Hiram House Camp hosts the Fall Pumpkin Festival. Thousands of families enjoy venturing to the location to pick pumpkins from the patch, seeing and interacting with the animals and navigating through the hay maze. Crafts, games and festive foods are also part of the event.
