Originating in 1912, the fair is a staple of summers in Umatilla County. Activities include barbeque and watermelon seed spitting contests, a variety of 4-H contests, and a livestock auction. A parade with themed floats is lots of fun for all. A unique aspect of this fair is the Ambassadors Program. High School aged students who have displayed leadership qualities are selected to represent the county by publicly promoting both the fair and the advantages of living in this part of the state.
