Top Things to Do in Wyoming

image description

Many visitors to Wyoming add Yellowstone National Park to their itineraries. This national park, the first in the country, protects natural geysers and native wildlife, including grizzly bears. Old Faithful, the park's most famous landmark, erupts on a semi-regular schedule throughout the day. Grand Teton National Park offers dense forests, hiking trails, rugged mountains and an abundance of wildlife.

Outside of the national park, the National Museum of Wildlife Art displays a dazzling amount of artwork inspired by wildlife. After viewing indoor exhibits, visitors can take a stroll along a paved trail to view sculptures and to catch a glimpse of the resident elk in the adjacent National Elk Refuge.

The cities and towns of Wyoming are also packed with interesting attractions. In the town of Cody, visitors can learn more about the famous Buffalo Bill at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. The center also includes museums about the state's natural history and the Plains Indians that once inhabited the state.

In Cheyenne, the capital of the state, visitors can wander among beautiful flowers at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens. The gardens also include a conservatory and a cactus garden. At the Cheyenne Depot Museum and Plaza, history fans can learn about the importance of the railroad in Wyoming's early days
